George Pinnell, Sr. and George Pinnell, Jr. established Pinnell Office Machines in 1937 first distributing adding machines. As the office equipment industry progressed and changed, so has Pinnell. In 1953 we opened an office in Pasco, Washington and soon after began selling hand duplicating equipment and cash registers. Then in 1963, Pinnell once again moved the office to 805 Summitview, where we remained until January 2007.

In 1973, Rick Pinnell, grandson to George Sr. joined the company as a Division Sales Manager. With his prior knowledge in the Dictaphone industry in San Francisco, Rick added word processors and Dictaphones to the product line up, always striving to stay on the leading edge of technology.
Rick Pinnell was appointed President of Pinnell, Inc. in 1980 and it continued to grow. Adding voice mail, phone systems, faxes, and finally hitting our stride with digital products, printers and software.
After deciding to retire, Rick Pinnell sold his business to a company called Imagine Technology Group. In April 2004, Imagine Technology was acquired by Global Imaging Systems (headquartered in Tampa, Florida). Global Imaging Systems operates 226 operating units across the country with 4,390 employees serving 150,000+ customers. As part of the Global Imaging Systems, Pinnell has been able to provide a phenomenal benefits package, a solid business plan and yet retain local autonomy.
Because of the continued success year after year, in 2007, Global Imaging Systems and all of its operating units across the country became a wholly owned subsidiary of Xerox Corporation (NYSE: XRX) and added Xerox document technology and services to its offerings. Maintaining the local focus and independent approach to sales, service and customer support but also adding the benefits of the Xerox Corporation and its product line created an enormous benefit to our customer base.
Going forward we look to our past to remind us of the significance of our community partners and the strength in believing in the importance of doing whatever it takes to exceed our customer's expectations.
